The newest addition—and perhaps the most talked-about feature—is Manistee National’s spectacular short course. Designed entirely in-house by ownership with a passion for the game, this nine-hole layout is anything but simple.
With hole lengths ranging roughly from 80 to 140 yards, the course emphasizes creativity, iron control, and putting touch. Severe green contours, multiple pin locations, reclaimed materials like railroad ties, and rustic shaping create endless ways to attack each hole. It’s walkable, fun, and deceptively challenging—perfect for evening skins games, one-club challenges, or winding down after 36 holes.
