The three-day, two-night itinerary combines two of the island’s most iconic golf courses, exquisite accommodations at the Island House Hotel, and signature dining at the 1852 Grill Room.

  • Two Nights Accommodations at the Island House Hotel
  • Welcome Party with appetizers and drinks at 1852 Grill Room (first evening)
  • Dinner at 1852 Grill Room (second evening)
  • Round-Trip Ferry Tickets from either Mackinaw City or St. Ignace
  • Wawashkamo Golf Course: 18 holes with cart, plus round-trip horse-drawn taxi transfers
  • Grand Hotel Golf Course – The Jewel: 18 holes with cart, horse-drawn carriage ride between courses, a sleeve of Grand Hotel golf balls, souvenir towel, and bottled water

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

 

ITINERARY

Day 1 – Arrival & Welcome Reception

Guests arrive on Mackinac Island via ferry from either Mackinaw City or St. Ignace.

Check in to the Island House Hotel and enjoy a casual evening.

Welcome Party at the 1852 Grill Room featuring appetizers and beverages.

Day 2 – Golf at Wawashkamo Golf Club & Dinner

Enjoy 18 holes at Wawashkamo Golf Club, a historic links-style course where golfers will be
transported to and from the course via horse-drawn taxi.

In the evening, guests gather for a Dinner at the 1852 Grill Room to unwind and share stories from the day’s round.

Day 3 – Golf at The Jewel / Grand Hotel Golf Course & Departure

Play 18 holes at The Jewel, the Grand Hotel’s renowned golf course, which offers a horse-drawn carriage transfer between the front and back nines.

Following play, guests may depart the island at their leisure.

Wawashkamo Golf Club
Founded in 1898 and designed by Scottish golf professional Alex Smith, Wawashkamo is a classic links-style 9-hole course that remains largely unchanged from its original layout. The open fairways, natural rough, and lack of trees reflect the traditional Scottish design, while the course itself sits on
historic ground—once the site of the 1814 Battle of Mackinac Island.

The course has two separate sets of tees and is rated by the Golf Association of Michigan as an 18-hole course.

The Jewel – Grand Hotel Golf Course
Known as one of the most unique courses in the world, The Jewel features two distinct nines: The Grand Nine, located near downtown, offers panoramic views of the Straits of Mackinac, while the
Woods Nine, set in the island’s interior, provides a contrasting forested setting.

A horse-drawn carriage ride connects the two nines, creating a quintessential Mackinac Island experience.
